Ever wondered what the City of Saskatoon is doing to reduce the community's environmental impact and ensure that Saskatoon is sustainable into the future? Meagan Hinther, Environmental Coordinator with the City's Environmental Services Branch, will present numerous projects and programs that are reducing Saskatoon's energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Come out and learn more about how solar panels are heating the water at local swimming pools, how a special compound is making it less energy intensive to cool the ice at a hockey arena, and which other interesting initiatives are helping create a community that uses less resources and is environmentally conscious.
